Update.
fruity grilled cheese sandwich..
lingonberry-cranberry vinaigrette + baby greens + steak
haven't been baking or cooking for profit in a while. as far as i know, i have been experimenting with other foods. creating new sandwiches and salads. Chef Kat is still on the prowl for unique ingredients and experimenting. i haven't been able to post pictures in a while since graduate school has taken over. HAHAA. because of the convenience, most of the pictures are placed on facebook. i'll try to work on updates more..

Change of Plans
Due to change of plans, Sweet Chiix will be closed for an indefinite amount of time. Thank you for all of your support. Do not worry, we are still experimenting on recipes and new flavors.

Temporarily Closed for business

SweetChiix is TEMPORARILY closed for business.
Will reopen in JUNE or until further notice.
Unfortunately, due to my new work schedule, I cannot devote the amount of time that my SweetChiix catering rightfully deserves.
I apologize to my current and past customers! You guys are awesome! I absolutely appreciate all your continuing support so far.
For those who have ordered from me, Thank you all for choosing me to make your desserts and taking part of your family and friends life's celebrations! To put a smile on one's face means so much to me. I hope to continue that in the future...
By June, SWEETCHIIX will be better than ever!

1. Please give at least two weeks notice when ordering.
(Important during busy seasons/holidays)
Large orders, at least 1 month notice.
2. For now, it is by PICK-UP ONLY. We're based in Clifton, NJ. We apologize for the inconvenience. (My schedule & gasoline prices are mainly the issue)

3. Prices will match up to how customized/detailed your order will be. Your order will be charged accordingly to how much customization/work is involved.

Hey Everyone!
Hey Everyone!!!
Sorry for being M.I.A... work has been keeping me occupied. As of right now, I'm trying to stay up so I can shift my body's circadian rhythm to function from 11pm to 7am. HAHAHA! Yes, starting Wednesday night, I'll be a night owl =).
Don't worry. Chef Kat is still available. She's been busy baking coming up with new things for this season -- fall flavors: apple and I think, pumpkin also. I'll still be around, only nowadays, only on very big orders when Chef Kat needs help. -=teehee=- As for those new flavors, Green Tea and Mango-Lychee, they are still in process since I haven't had the time to find the right combinations, yet. However, you'll be glad to know that Mango Madness is now one of our regular flavors, which means, all year long! YAY! ^_______^
Since the holidays are coming up soon, so don't forget to order ahead of time.. =P

On Hiatus
Hey Everyone!
I apologize for being unable to update for a very long time. Since I've started working in the hospital, I've disappeared from any form of social life. Fortunately, I've managed to make some connections regarding access to ingredients and possibly new flavors =D.
GREEN TEA !!!
I'd like to thank my friends that have contributed to the ingredients. Green tea is not easy to find or easy to perfect. Our first attempt was so so. This time we were able to get our hands on a finer grade of Green Tea that my friend acquired from Korea, and it came out better than before. It was actually a success. Hopefully, we can recreate it this weekend. We're also hoping to work on the Mango-Lychee cupcakes. Maybe, we can use macapuno as an option. Macapuno -Green Tea? Who knows? We'll be busy this weekend perfecting the ratios. I prefer to have a stronger flavor, but Chef Kat prefers the milder flavor. Taste test time!!!

New Flavor!
after a short hiatus so I could concentrate on the NCLEX-RN, I am back to sous chef status!
woOHoo!!!! =)
Just because I disappeared from the kitchen, it did not mean that I stopped thinking about food entirely. HAHAHAHA. After numerous experiments, we finally found a way to make the mango flavor consistent. YAY! Hopefully, we can find a steady supplier so this would be affordable for everyone. As of right now, it is currently a rare find. This very kind Korean bakery lady actually sold me her extra stash. I just asked her where I could purchase some, and she actually went and offered me an unopened and sealed package. She talked to her boss and was able to sell it to me. I was very much thankful to her. Perhaps, I will give her a sample of our mango cupcake. What do you think? ^__^
Much to our excitement we started experimenting while fulfilling our current order of triple chocolate cupcakes. We forgot we had those in our menu... HAHAHA. We really need to keep track of our older flavors. Anyways, being that summer was starting, Chef Kat was craving some lychee. While I was working on topping the cupcakes with fluffy chocolate mousse, she prepared two cups of lychee served over ice. YAY!!! I, the slave, gets a snacky break. exciting...
I became curious and mixed the mango with my lychee drink. Stiiiiir. Stop. Taste. Add more ice. Stir some more... Taste. VOILA! Chef Kat! Taste. :light bulb:

Mango-Lychee!!!
yuuup. So keep an eye out for Mango-Lychee. We'll be perfecting it in the next few weeks, and as soon as it is ready, I shall update you.
